Bix Gabriel
Writer. Teacher.
Seeker of the perfect jalebi.
Bix Gabriel is a writer, teacher of creative writing, and seeker of the perfect jalebi. (It’s okay to go look it up, I’ll still be here.)
She teaches creative writing, specializing in fiction, at Bucknell University.

Her writing appears in the anthologies Flash Fusion: An Anthology of Flash Fiction and Conversations on Craft by South Asian Writers and A Map is Only One Story, and in literary magazines such as Apogee, Crab Creek Review, Catapult, Guernica, and Electric Literature, among others.
Her novel in progress, Archives of Amnesia, was a finalist for the 2021 PEN Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction, which means, yes, she’s been working on it for a while.
She was an inaugural Periplus Fellow, and a 2024-26 Lighthouse Writers Workshop Book Projecteer.
She likes dogs more than people, and email more than social media. You can [email protected], she will write back.
